Audited Supplier Curcuma longa curcumin is an anti-inflammatory molecule in the turmeric root, a relative of ginger. Turmeric has been used for thousands of years as a medicinal preparation and a preservative and coloring agent in foods. Curcumin was isolated as the major yellow pigment in turmeric; chemically diferulomethane, and has a polyphenolic molecular structure similar to other plant pigments(eg. extracted from grapes in wine (resveratrol), or in green tea (catechins) or in certain fruit juices (blueberries,strawberries, pomegranates etc.) This polyphenols share in common anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties with associated health benefits.
Tetrahydrocurcuminoids (THC) are derived from curcuminoids (extracted from the roots of curcuma longa, commonly known as turmeric root). Tetrahydrocurcuminoids are phenolic in nature, acting as antioxidants, protecting against free radicals and preventing the generation of free radicals. Unlike yellow curcuminoids, THC is a colorless compound which can therefore be used in color free cosmetic products that currently employ conventional and synthetic antioxidants.

Tetrahydrocurcumin (THC) is an antioxidative substance, which is derived from curcumin, the component of turmeric. In the present investigation, the effect of THC and curcumin against chloroquine (CQ) induced hepatotoxicity were studied in female Wistar rats.
1. Tetrahydrocurcumin can better whiten effect than arbutin which can inhibit effectually oxygen free radicals.
2.Tetrahydrocurcumin can remove oxygen free radicals which has been generated, and have obvious antioxidant effect.
3. Tetrahydrocurcumin is often used in cosmetic area, and can whitening, removing freckles and antioxidant.
4. Tetrahydrocurcumin also has the function of Antitumor and anti atherosclerosis effect which is used as the bulk drug.
