Topiramate is an anticonvulsant drug produced by Ortho-McNeil Neurologics. Topiramate is used to treat epilepsy in both children and adults. Topiramate is also Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved for, and now most frequently prescribed for, the prevention of migraines.
