Application of Atazanavir

Atazanavir is an antiretroviral drug of the protease inhibitor class. Like other antiretrovirals, Atazanavir is used to treat
infection of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).S.

Atazanavir is an azo-peptide and hiv-protease inhibitor that is often combined with other anti-hiv drugs to treat HIV infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome.

Atazanavir is active against wild-type virus in vitro, and its EC50 and EC90 are 2-5 nM and 9-15 nM, respectively.

Atazanavir can effectively induce er stress response in malignant glioma cells, GRP78 and CHOP levels are increased, and caspase-4 is activated, leading to cell death.

Function of Atazanavir:
