Cyanobalamin is one of the vitamin B complex, which has strong anti - anemia effect. It is the name given to the crystal of vitamin B12, an indispensable factor in the development of bacteria and animals. Proposed the structural formula, as shown in the figure, because the cyano group is located on cobalt, it is called cyanocobalamin. The maximum absorption in aqueous solution is 278361548 nm. In 1948, e. L. rickes of the United States and E. L. Smith of the United Kingdom independently extracted crystals from the liver. Property description		Dark red crystal or crystalline powder. It does not dissolve at 300 ºC. It has hygroscopicity, can absorb 12 moisture in air, and its water crystal is stable in air. The color became darker at 210-220 ºC. It is insoluble in  and ether. The solution is neutral and the most stable at pH 4.5-5. It can be hydrolyzed slowly in alkaline or strong acid solution, tasteless. The structure of vitamin B12 is complex. Its molecular characteristics include cobalt atom and cyano group. Vitamin B12 exists in liver, egg, milk, fish meal, soybean, yeast and meat. In 1926, G. R. vanott and W. P. Function

At present, there are four kinds of vitamin B12 in the world API market. They are hydroxycobalamin, Mecobalamin, cyanobalamin and cobalamin adenosine. This is because the central ion in B12 molecule has different functional groups, so it is called different names. Hydroxycobalamin is called hydroxycobalamin because the central ion of B12 is connected with hydroxyl group. Among the four B12 molecules, hydroxycobalamin has the best water solubility and slow metabolism in urine, which is also known as long-acting cobalamin. Although the absorption rate is not comparable to that of cyanocobalan and Mecobalamin, its concentration in the eye is very high, which can greatly relieve visual fatigue and nourish the optic nerve. Therefore, it has a certain curative effect on amblyopia caused by poisoning. In addition, hydroxycobalamin can quickly combine with free cyanide to form nontoxic cyanobalamin in aqueous solution, so its other therapeutic effect is the antidote of cyanide poisoning.

Application
