What is Salinomycin Sodium?

Salinomycin is white powder. Freely soluble in , ,  benzene, ether and . Practically insoluble in water. Salinomycin is polyether ionophoric antibiotic having a unique tricyclic spiroketal ring system and an unsaturated 6-membered ring in the molecule, produced by microorganism fermentation and biochemical progress.

Function of Salinomycin Sodium

Salinomycin is a special antibiotic for monocarboxylic acid polyether animal. It has strong inhibition and killing effect on most Gram-positive bacteria and various coccidia, it is not easy to produce drug resistance and cross-resistance, and excretion is rapid. Very low residue, used in pigs to prevent diarrhea, promote growth, increase survival rate, mainly used for poultry anti-coccidial.
Salinomycin not only kills breast cancer stem cells in mice, but also inhibits them from producing new tumor cells, while also slowing the growth rate of existing tumors.  

Application of Salinomycin Sodium

1. Salinomycin is an anti coccidiosis chemical medicine.It has a preventive effect on fowl Coccidiosis.
2. Salinomycin can change the content of volatile fatty acid in large intestine and kidney,so it has the function of promoting the growth of chickens. 
3. Salinomycin can improve the utility of crude protein, crude fatty acid, crude cellulose in feedstuff, thus it can improve the conversion ratio of feedstuff.
