Poria cocos belongs to fungus, also known as jade spirit, fu Ling, Wan Ling GUI, fu tu. It is the dry sclerotia of poria cocos of lamellar fungi, often parasitic on pine roots, shaped like sweet potato, spherical, light brown or black brown skin, pink or white inside, called white poria cocos or poria cocos after refined. Poria cocos are mainly produced in Anhui, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places. It can be used as food additives and supplements.
