Lactobacillus casei is a Gram-positive bacterium, with a length of 1.5-5.0 and a width of 0.4-1.1 .It is commonly used in milk fermentation and also exists in cheese products.Along with Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus casei is known as the "three good bacteria for Health". It is found in milk, cheese, sour bread and fermented products. Lactobacillus casei has good acid and bile resistance, can reduce plasma cholesterol, enhance host non-specific resistance to microbial pathogens, accelerate the clearance of intestinal pathogens, treat intestinal flora disorder and enhance intestinal permeability, so as to prevent food allergy and acute diarrhea.
